NeonBackend & Data
Neon is PostgreSQL run as a hosted service that shuts down completely when nobody's using it, so an app sitting idle costs almost nothing. It treats each database like a branch in Git: copy real data into a side version, try a structural change on it, and merge it back the way you'd merge code. Storage sits apart from the running server, so waking up is instant and data never disappears. Otherwise it's the same PostgreSQL, with the same features and the same limits.
